Why do I see the message “No response received from Licensing server”?
When I first open Budgets GetReal, and select to enter my Serial number and Password, the program won’t allow me to proceed. I see the following error error screen which is:
No response received from Licensing server
You need this to activate and register the program

Why does this message occur?
When you first open Budgets GetReal you must obtain a license key to activate the program. This license key is a confirmation that is sent to the program, after you agree to the License Agreement. It is separate from registration, and will usually process in the background, automatically.
Once the program is licensed you can then enter your Serial number and password to enable the extra features of the program over and above those of the free-trial version. The above message occurs when you are unable to obtain a license key to activate the program.
This message indicates a connection issue most likely associated with your computer and internet. Obtaining a license key also serves as a check that any firewall software, if installed, is properly configured to work with Budgets GetReal.
The message can result from one of the following causes, which should be checked in the following order.
1. You do not have an active internet connection.
Check connecting with your web-browser to a known, always available site like google.com.
2. The Budgets GetReal site is unavailable.
We maintain a site with guaranteed high availability, redundant hardware and independent monitoring. Nevertheless, short-term outages can sometimes occur when the site content is updated or for maintenance.
Check that your web browser can access http://budgetsgetreal.com/ or our main resource and support page at http://budgetsgetreal.com/resources.aspx. If the site is down, wait around 10 – 15 minutes and try again.
3. You are using some form of firewall that is blocking the outgoing request.
Note that just because your web browser can see our site it does not mean that the Budgets GetReal application can. Your browser will have been previously registered with your firewall software. The Budgets GetReal application must be registered with your firewall
If you have a firewall problem then we will not be able to see your attempts to license or register the program in our server logs.
Your firewall must allow the Budgets GetReal application to send requests to, and receive responses from, http://budgetsgetreal.com using TCP Ports 80 and 443.
How can I fix this issue ?
If you are running the program in a networked business environment please have your Network Administrator provide the necessary access.
If you cannot fix this problem please leave a support request at http://budgetsgetreal.com/support.aspx. Select “Installation & Registration” as the subject of your enquiry, outline the error received, and the details of your operating system and any firewall software installed. Please note that we cannot provide support on network setup and configuring firewalls.
Budgets GetReal includes inbuilt connection logging to help diagnose problems that are preventing you connecting to our server. The logs are not automatically sent to us – this would defeat their purpose i.e. if you can connect to us then there is no need for a connection log.
Logging only occurs until the program successfully is licensed and registered. At that time all logging stops. Logs are located within your Logs folder and are have names like ConnectLog_20071207084556. The number part represents the time the log was established. The current log file remains partially open until you close Budgets GetReal and then it is finalized. A new log file is commenced for each time you open Budgets GetReal.
Log files contain no private information. You can delete these files once you are registered. We may request you to supply copies of these logs to assist resolving any connection issues.
